It was over a decade ago at Sputnik Modern (an incredible showroom in Dallas and NY owned by our friend Chris Thurman), and we never forgot them. SWOON founder Sam Sano owns two of the lamps which hold a place of pride in her home, and we love getting to share his work with others via Shop SWOON when we are lucky enough to stumble across them.

Each "Dora" lamp was individually sculpted by designer André Cazenave for Atelier A, France in the late 60's. Some have cited that it's no coincidence that the timing of this particular series coincides with the landing on the moon. These otherworldly light sources have a luminous warm glow that draws you (and everyone else) in. Made by hand from fiberglass and coated in marble powder, each one is entirely unique.
